On the weekend of November 18th, 2006 there were seven stabbings in Edmonton.   Two of these were fatal.

On November 29, Mike Gravel emerged from self-imposed exile to perform this piece “Not Everyone Gets To”.  The piece is dedicated to Dylan McGillis and Evan Grykuliak.

I have wanted to feature one of Layne’s pieces on this podcast for some time now.  This week is the week when it all comes together.  In order to really accentuate the performance I chose to feature a Master Eds Remix of this piece.  I think this version might be a little closer to the original vision of the piece.

Also, while I’m at it … Layne, my apologies for this older portrait of you.  I don’t have anything of the new you.  Next time!

Okay enough preamble.  Layne’s piece is inspired by Kathy.  (You know the one!)

It’s time to feature another “Master Eds” remix.  This one features none other than Mr. Patrick Pilarski doing a piece that he himself calls “quiet and zen-like”.

Those of you who have been fortunate enough to watch Patrick perform may be taken aback at this remix.  New software promises to forever revolutionize spoken word and this software was employed on Patrick’s piece.
